Monday, July 10, 2006, ⇒The Trip To Baltimore and something more..
So yesterday(July, 9th) I went to Baltimore with my whole family. Baltimore is in MD (Maryland). And you think why we went there?? Well I have an answer for you. We went there because they have beautiful Aquarium and just a beautiful place where they show different animals from sharks to frogs and spiders. So it was just incredible to see those amaizing animals. But I still couldn't find the bonehead shark, that I was hoping to see. Yeah, sometimes it doesn't go your way, no matter how much you try. But I saw some really cool frogs, like one of them was blue and had black spots all over its body, they were jumping around and I was just standing there staring at them *laghing*. I also saw the Dolphin Show, which was amaizing and I was shocked by animals' cleverness and cunning. So after all that we went to a sea food restaurant and eating crab I cut my finger. Yeah, that hurt.
It was fun, but I knew I had work the next day. So thinking I would come home and go to bed , I was soooooo wrong. So I came home at about 11pm, I was tired but I don't know why, I couldn't fall asleep. So I decided to watch some TV and got myself watching about Sfinx on Discovery Channel. I can tell you it was interesting, but I wasn't really paying attenction on that part. I was waiting for the next thing they were going to show. Yeah, and it was worth waiting and watching at all.
So that show was about new archeologists' descovery in
The Valley of The Kings in Egypt where tomb of Tutankhamun was found. And in
February of year
2006, other tomb was found, just 45 feet ahead Tut's tomb. However, unlike any other tomb that was found before, that one didn't have any long coridores or multiple chambers. All it had was a small chamber 15 feet below the surface. It contained 7 sarcophagus and 29 sealed jars. Unfortunately only 2 sarcophagus were sealed, others were opened and damaged by termites and 30,000 years of being buried ander ground. However archeologists did not give up, 2 sarcophagus that were sealed were located in the very back of the chamber, and to get to them took scientists about 4 and half months. But they could not find any avidence of mummies in that tomb, however after opening one of the sarcaphagus they found another golden sarcaphag that gave them a clue that here may lay a royalty. They also found a mask, a woman's mask as they think. After weeks of researching and thinking archeologists decided that this tomb was created during 18th dynasty (Tutankhamun also lived at that time), but they couldn't find out who was buried there or was there somebody buried at all. Some of them thought that that might be Tut's wife's tomb, Ankhesenamun, but some of them thought that this tomb belongs to his mother who he'd never known, Kiya, because woman's mask that they found was alike Tut's mask, which also gave them clues. In June 2006 the last sarcaphagus was opened and unfortunately they did not find any mummi there but jewerly and tools for mummification, however searching still continues and hopefully they will find some evidence on whose or what is this tomb made for? But for us it is still a mystery.
So, after whatching this thing, I was so moved that I mad a whole research on all of that and I found a lot of stuff that can be very interesting.
If you have any opinion on what I just wrote please comment
